Optimism | Joy | Powerful

Cosette Justo Valdés has led orchestras in her home country of Cuba, in Europe, and now, lucky for us, in Canada. Her unique style and contagious amounts of energy bring new and refreshing interpretations to every performance. She leads the SSO and Chorus in the Canadian premiere of Marianna Martines’s Dixit Dominus.

The concert also includes the world premiere of Evelin Ramón’s brand-new work Rebelión and featured works by Caroline Shaw and Gabriela Lena Frank.
