George Theodorakopoulos

Sacristain

George Theodorakopoulos is a Greek Canadian baritone from Toronto, Ontario. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance and his Master of Music degree in opera from the University of Toronto.

During the 2025–2026 season, George will be joining Calgary Opera for his first year in the McPhee Artist Development Program, as well as Edmonton Opera as part of its Emerging Artist Program. Upcoming performances include Sacristan in Tosca with Edmonton Opera (in collaboration with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Yukon Arts Centre, and the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra), as well as Officer II in The Barber of Seville, and Yakusidé in Madama Butterfly, both with Calgary Opera. George will also be covering the role of Chip in the world premiere of Ian Cusson’s Indians on Vacation with Edmonton Opera.

Recent operatic highlights include Moralès and Le Dancaïre (Carmen), Danilo (The Merry Widow), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Pandolfe (Cendrillon), Marullo (Rigoletto), Emilio (Il cappello di paglia di Firenze), and Pangloss (Candide).
