One of the greatest achievements in human history, Bach’s monumental Mass in B Minor is amongst the most significant pieces of music ever written.

Eric Paetkau leads the musical forces in Bach’s crowning work: intensely complex, but stunning to listen to, Bach’s mass highlights the genius of his counterpunctal style as the master was reaching the end of his life.  The concert features a line up of all-Saskatchewan soloists who have all wowed Saskatoon audiences in recent years.

This performance marks the first time that the SSO has ever performed this important work, and we’re proud to showcase the musicians and vocalists in the beautiful setting of St John’s Cathedral.
