Metropolitan Opera tenor Richard Troxell’s beautiful lyric tenor voice has been thrilling audiences in leading roles in opera houses and on concert stages around the world for over 30 years. Richard’s career has taken him to six continents, singing the starring role of Pinkerton in Martin Scorsese’s Sony Film of Madama Butterfly, as a recurring guest on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night, to singing on the great stages of the world including the Metropolitan Opera in NYC, the Opéra Comique in Paris, the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall and for the great Sydney Opera House in Australia, to name a few. Richard has also shared the stage with opera luminaries such as Denyce Graves, Roberto Alagna, Yannick Nézèt-Séguin, Placido Domingo, James Conlon, Lorin Maazel, Steven Mercurio, Georges Prêtre, Quest Love and the Roots and the list goes on. An extremely versatile singer, Richard runs the gamut of musical genres with his recordings of Jazz, Broadway and opera, and has sung the national anthem for the Baltimore Orioles for over 25 years. Richard’s career is one of the most eclectic of his generation. When he’s not on the road he can be found in his pine forest, in his three story tree house or hanging a 300 ft zip line for his kids, biking 50 miles, or cooking dinners for 35 of his closest friends. Richard resides in the countryside of Chester County, PA with his family, Lisa, Wilder and Shane. Stop over sometime.
