Kerry Agnew

Collaborative pianist Kerry Agnew has extensive experience as a coach and performer working with musicians of all ages.  After completing her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education, Kerry taught highschool and university music courses in her hometown of Saskatoon before moving to Montréal to complete a Masters of Music and an Artist Diploma both in the field of Collaborative Piano.  

Equally comfortable in many musical roles, Kerry has experience coaching, teaching, directing, conducting, and producing works in addition to performing both on stage and in the pit.  In Saskatoon, Kerry taught high school and university music courses while also maintaining an active performing and coaching schedule and directing yearly Musical Theatre productions.  Kerry toured internationally with the Saskatoon Children’s Choir, and performed locally with the University of Saskatchewan Greystone Singers, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, and Saskatoon Opera. She is an original member and past musical director for Little Opera On the Prairie. 

Her passion for Opera has led Kerry to perform and study across Canada and Europe with such institutions as the Opera Nuova, The Schubert Institute, Musiktheatre Bavaria, Against The Grain Summer Intensive, and the Lachine Vocal Academy. While in Montréal, Kerry has was an integral member of the Opera McGill team as a student and later as staff répétiteur on many Opera McGill productions. Kerry currently freelances in Saskatoon, where is a conductor and pianist with the Saskatoon Children’s Choir, a sessional lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan, and a performer with many groups across the city including the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra.
